Wounaan Yellow Head Parrot Tagua Carving-Panama 21043003L

Folks, this is a really unusual carving. It is nicely carved but the painting was done by the artist’s kid. He’s teaching the lad the tagua carving and painting trade and it is fun to watch artists develop. Here’s a kid just getting started. Pop did the carving and Van Gogh Junior grabbed a brush.

Sometimes I strip carvings like this and try my own hand at painting. You might like to do the same, it’s fun. We use DR. MARTIN Ink.
